STUDY MOTIVATION
SIMPLE WAYS TO STUDY
It has been a year since I passed my final exams. Honestly, it still feels like a dream. It is funny how we have that anxiety while studying hard, having so many fears and doubts makes us more nervous. But in the end, we made it through the storm and came out as a stronger person. And I know many students are going through the situations we have gone through.
So here is a tiny study motivation session for you all!
PLAN YOUR STUDY SESSIONS
Creating a schedule for your study session is the first step. Only after this step, you can turn your plan into action. Plan a schedule and stick to it with consistency. While you are planning a study session, it is necessary to include some time for rest and eating. That is when you have to recharge your energy.
TIP: CREATE A TO-DO LIST (STRIKING OFF AFTER FINISHING CHAPTERS IS SATISFYING)
FIND A QUIET STUDY SPACE
Choosing a quiet study space away from distractions is crucial. For instance, keep your phone in another room or choose a space away from your siblings*. Use appropriate lighting while studying so that you do not strain your eyes.
TIP: TRY TO STUDY EARLY MORNING (NO DISTURBANCE AND THE BRAIN IS MORE ACTIVE)
TAKE BREAKS
Taking breaks is essential in order to avoid burnout. But you must always avoid distractions like using phones or digital gadgets during breaks. You can use breaks to work out or play outdoor games for a while, which will help blood circulation.
AVOID CAFFEINE AND HEAVY FOODS
A proper sleep cycle is very important for your memory. Avoid consuming caffeine and junk foods close to bedtime because it disrupts sleep. And always stay hydrated throughout your study session and your day. It will help you in staying focused and keeps you alert.
MAKE NOTES***
Making notes and flashcards make it 100x easier to revise and remember the things you have studied. Seems difficult at first but you will get habituated to it after a while. Remember! Nothing is easy! You just get used to it! Revise before you go to bed.
