SMALL WAYS THAT MAKE BIG CHANGES
Sometimes we stick to habits that are not good for us and we become addicted to them. So here are some ways to slightly improve your life without really trying hard, just by making small changes.
- Keep a book in your bag to avoid the temptation of mindlessly scrolling on social media
- Desperately want to purchase a product? Wait for a week before you purchase it! (iykyk)
- Be polite to strangers who are rude to you. It will be thrilling and awkward for them.
- Do not always use headphones/earphones/Air Pods
- Plant trees! It is not just good for nature but believe me you will feel good as well
- Start sending voice notes to your best friends instead of texting because they may start sounding like mini podcasts
- Learn basic life hacks you need in daily life. For example, the basics of sewing your torn clothes
- Set aside time to do the things you love and by that, I do not mean scrolling mindlessly on your social media
- Keep the keys in the same place every day
- Always carry fruit with you
- Go for a walk in nature without your digital gadgets
- If possible, take the stairs instead of an elevator
- Avoid the usage of plastic
- Ask questions and try to be a listener
- Do not save outfits for later, wear them and take pictures
- Join a library and make frequent visits
- Write a letter to your friends (handwritten)
- Connect more with nature. Walk barefoot on grass
- Keep a good bond with your neighbors
- Feed birds and also keep water for them
- Smile and laugh more often
- Be mindful of your posture
- Try more colored outfits instead of wearing black
- Cook a dish you have never attempted before
- Give compliments more widely and freely
- Politely decline invitations if you are not willing to go
- Do that one task you have been putting off
- Listen to albums you loved when you were younger it will make you feel good
- Make friends from every generation. You can appreciate the differences and also be grateful for what you have.
