GUAVA PANIPURI

Hello dear readers,

I have been so inactive for a while now. Did not post with consistency. For a long time now, I was on a writer’s, reader’s, creativity block, you name it. I have been scrolling through social media and just kept saving reels and posts for trying them out later. Then I realized that I will not be able to try all these things after a month during Ramadan. STOP PROCRASTINATING! I wanted to try new things out!

ON A MISSION TO TRY NEW THINGS OUT! COZ WHY NOT!

MISSION #1

GUAVA PANI PURI RECIPE: Serves 8 – 10

FOR PANI:

  •  Take 2 guavas, grind, and sieve the paste.
  • Green chilies – as per taste
  • Mint leaves – ½ cup
  • Coriander leaves – 1 cup
  • Ginger- 1 inch
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Dry mango powder or amchur powder – ½ teaspoon
  • Black salt- ½ teaspoon
  • Chat masala- 1 teaspoon

Grind this into a fine paste and add guava juice. Add roasted cumin powder and red chili powder. You can add more chat masala and water as per taste. Garnish with mint and coriander leaves for more freshness.

Refrigerate this water for 3 – 4 hours.

FOR FILLING

Take 2 – 3 potatoes, peel them, and boil them. Take yellow peas or white peas which are used to make ragda and boil them.

Add salt, coriander, chat masala, roasted cumin powder, dry mango powder or amchur powder, and red chilli powder or lal mirch, and add this mixture to boiled potato and yellow peas and mix it well.

You can also add black pepper or kali mirch, tomatoes, and onions (optional)

FOR PURI: I made puri at home which is super easy to make

We had this delicious pani puri not just with this special recipe but as an Indian it is mandatory to have it with dahi, sev, and imli ki chutney.

I did not take a perfect video of the recipe but will surely post videos from the next mission.
