DO YOU FEEL THAT YOU ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH!?

SELF DOUBT!

Self-doubt is the disability to trust yourself. It is a result of the comparison, lack of confidence, insecurities, and many more factors affecting your self-confidence. A person with self-doubt feels uncertain about all the things around him/her. According to my observations and experiences, self-doubt can be of two types.

SELF-DOUBT THAT IS CREATED ON YOUR OWN:

COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS

As I already mentioned in one of my previous posts, comparison kills your happiness and satisfaction. Maybe you are comparing your chapter one to someone’s chapter ten and feeling insecure which does not make any sense. We all have different personalities and different purposes in life. God made you you for a reason. Every person is unique in his/her beautiful way.

SELF-CRITICISM:

Criticizing yourself is a form of insecurity which in turn leads to self-doubt and can lead to anxiety, fear of failure and self-created overthinking, stress, and all kinds of mental disturbances. It will make you sabotage yourself and make you create a barrier in your path to success and happiness. We all have flaws and we need to embrace them and love ourselves for who we are.

THINKING ABOUT THE MISTAKES YOU HAVE MADE IN THE PAST

We are human beings and we all make mistakes (I mastered this art) and we need to learn from them. To grow, we need to get out of our comfort zone and we all mistakes when we get out there at first. And overthinking about the mistakes you have made in the past and not leaping faith towards the path of growth is not a smart decision. So, take this as a challenge and take a leap of faith and just take a step forward towards a new path or the next step.

SOMETHING ABOUT IMPOSTOR SYNDROME:

Impostor syndrome is not a mental illness. It is a psychological pattern in which a person doubts their capabilities. It makes you doubt all your achievements and accomplishments. You will think it is not your hard work, it is fate. This can lead to issues like anxiety, depression, stress, and lack of confidence. Although every person will not have imposter syndrome but have impostor syndrome-like condition.

THE SECOND TYPE OF SELF-DOUBT IS DUE TO CONSTANT DISCOURAGEMENT BY SOMEONE:

PEOPLE!!! You will deal with narcissistic people in every walk of life. Some people will doubt and make you doubt your abilities. Be it at your workplace, your school, college, and also sometimes family or relatives. Recognize such people as toxic and keep moving forward on the journey of your success. It is sometimes very tough to deal with such situations and people and it will become and burden and exhaust you in every way and you may get frustrated. But remember not to give up and take a break and practice self-care as much as possible. Self-care should not be practiced for one day. It should be a constant and consistent process that once started in life must never end for any reason.

Love yourself and find peace within yourself!
