Self-love and self-care are the most important things you should practice in order to protect yourself and your mental health. Being unapologetic and not being guilty are also important parts of the journey of your life. Things you should be unapologetic for:

BE UNAPOLOGETIC AND…

1. Do not let anyone dictate your worth :

You define who you are. Do not let anyone define your worth. You deserve to live a life of not just happiness but of respect. When people put you down and try to make you feel small, walk away by showing them that your self-respect is bigger than their cheap actions. Be a person with standards. 

2. Keep trying :

Do not be sad or shy about trying again and again. If your critics put you down by making fun of you for failing, work harder, keep trying and show them that they are wrong. There are some things in which no one has succeeded in the first attempt. Just keep trying and keep learning. Do not forget to love yourself in this process. 

3. Surround yourself with inspirational people :

People who inspire you are also important as your critics are in life. Haters keep hating and criticizing you. But it is up to you to walk your way by acting deaf and not listening to them sometimes and that is the time you need people who inspire you. Do not forget these people in your good times. 

4. Self-criticism is the worst :

There are sometimes when you will hate yourself for failing and for being a subject of fun for people. You have to stay calm and let go of all the negative feelings in order to keep moving forward. Never criticize yourself even sarcastically because your subconscious mind accepts what your conscious mind suggests. 

STOP SAYING SORRY!

 Stop saying sorry for being busy in your own work, saying no, loving yourself, setting boundaries, not trying to be perfect and just being yourself and showing emotions and being vulnerable. 

Do not scare yourself by comparing yourself to other people or even your older self. Be kind, gentle and patient to yourself. Praise yourself, support yourself.  Be unapologetic by practising self-care and self-love. 

Some things to know about self care are:

When you prioritize yourself and start self-care, some people will be disappointed, recognize them, they are not your people, they are toxic. Avoid them. Self-care is always not about bubble baths and faces masks. It is about following your instincts and doing what you love

When you create boundaries, some people will tell you that you are trying to avoid them. Ignore! Do not be a people pleaser! Self-care includes the elimination of habits, friendships, relationships, people, choices that no longer serve you or drain your energy. 

Self-love and happiness are not found readymade, they should be created by you and practised daily. Throw unsolicited opinions from random people into trash. Let go of what you cannot control. It is hardest when you need it the most. 

Authors note: 

Look yourself in the mirror daily, compliment yourself and tell yourself that you deserve every good thing in life. You will achieve all your goals. Forgive yourself. This might sound funny but this will boost your confidence when practised daily. 

Love yourself and find peace within yourself!!!
