DEEDS THAT GUARANTEE PARADISE IN ISLAM

Islam teaches that entering Jannah (Paradise) is ultimately by Almighty Allah’s mercy, but there are some deeds that the Prophet Muhammed ﷺ described as leading directly to Paradise or guaranteeing it for those who perform them with sincere heart.

Top Deeds That Guarantee Jannah

Tawheed (Sincerely Believing in and Worshipping Allah Alone)

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever dies knowing that there is no god but Allah will enter Paradise.”

(Muslim, 26)

  • Tawheed is the foundation. Without it, no other deeds are accepted.

Praying the Five Daily Prayers Consistently

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever preserves the prayers, they will be his light, proof, and salvation on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever does not preserve them will not have proof, nor light, nor salvation, and on the Day of Resurrection, he will be alongside Qarun, Haman, Pharaoh, and Ubayy ibn Khalaf.”

(Ahmad, 6540 – Sahih)

Guaranteed Jannah:

“Whoever performs the two cool prayers (Fajr and ‘Asr) will enter Paradise.”

(Bukhari & Muslim)

Good Character & Manners

The Prophet ﷺ said:

 I guarantee a house in the surroundings of Paradise for a man who avoids quarrelling even if he were in the right, a house in the middle of Paradise for a man who avoids lying even if he were joking, and a house in the upper part of Paradise for a man who made his character good.

(Abu Dawud, 4800 – Hasan)

Guarding the Tongue & Private Parts

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever can guarantee (the chastity of) what is between his two jaw-bones and what is between his two legs (i.e. his tongue and his private parts), I guarantee Paradise for him.”

(Bukhari, 6474)

Forgiving Others & Letting Go of Grudges

The Prophet ﷺ pointed to a man and said:

“He is a man of Paradise.”

The reason? He forgave people and slept with a clean heart.

“It is not permissible for a Muslim to forsake his brother for more than three days…” 

(Bukhari & Muslim)

Avoiding Major Sins

Allah says:

“If you avoid the major sins which you are forbidden, We will remove from you your lesser sins and admit you to a noble entrance (Paradise).”

(Qur’an 4:31)

Being Truthful

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise.”

(Bukhari & Muslim)

Saying: “Radhītu billāhi Rabban…”

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever says:  “Radhitu billahi Rabba, wa bil-Islāmi dīna, wa bi-Muḥammadin nabiyyan”

‘I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, Islam as my religion, and Muhammad ﷺ as my Prophet,’ Jannah becomes obligatory for him.”

Sincerely Asking Allah for Jannah

Anas bin Malik narrated that The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever asks Allah (s.w.t) Paradise three times, Paradise says: ‘O Allah, admit him into Paradise’, and whoever seeks refuge from the Fire three times, the Fire says: ‘O Allah, save him from the Fire.'”

(Tirmidhi, 2572 – Hasan)

Taking Care of Orphans

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“I and the one who looks after an orphan will be like this in Paradise,” showing his middle and index fingers and separating them.”

(Bukhari, 5304)

Avoiding Arrogance

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“No one will enter Paradise who has a mustard seed’s weight of arrogance in his heart.”

(Muslim, 91)

Fasting and Seeking Reward

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever fasts a day for the sake of Allah, Allah will keep his face away from Hell for a distance covered in seventy years.”

(Bukhari & Muslim)

Building a Masjid

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”

(Bukhari & Muslim)
